Creative Civilization reflects small business growth

Agency Employment Surges to Serve New Client Acquisitions

It's not just the large employers in town that are fueling San Antonio's economy. Small businesses such as Creative Civilization, one of San Antonio's leading advertising and public relations firms, are adding to the ranks of their professional staff that are generating new revenue into our community.

In the last few months, Creative Civilization has added staff to support its acquisition of a number of new accounts including national clients like Sam's Club, Más Club, Guitar Center, the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA), CTGroup Asset Management, and the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC), adding to its strong mix of local clients including VIA and University Health System.

New Creative Civilization team members include: J.C. Cody, Creative Director; Judi Janney, Senior Account Executive; Jessica Miller, Account Executive; Brian Edwards, Account Coordinator; Cody Matheson, Art Director; Cassandra Velasquez, Media Touchpoint Integrator; Abby Bedecs, Public Relations Account Executive and Chris D'Antonio, IT Manager.

"We are truly motivated by our growth, particularly during a time when the economy has adversely affected many industries", says Gisela Girard, president and co-founder of the agency. "Our success is fueled by the growing number of talented team members who bring great ideas and energy to our busy operation.”

A little known statistic of San Antonio's economy is that small businesses represent 79 percent of all employer firms, according to the SABÉR Institute.

“Creative Civilization is proud to be a contributor to that statistic,” adds Girard.
