VIA Metropolitan Transit Names Creative Civilization as Agency of Record

San Antonio marketing and communications firm selected to lead communications as VIA products and services expand

VIA Metropolitan Transit has selected San Antonio-based marketing and communications firm, Creative Civilization, as its agency of record for advertising and marketing services.

VIA Metropolitan Transit, San Antonio’s public transportation provider, selected Creative Civilization through a formal review process based on the agency’s strategic and innovative marketing leadership with local, regional and national clients.

“This is a great time in the history of our organization and for our community,” says Priscilla Ingle, Vice President of Public Affairs for VIA Metropolitan Transit. “We are pleased to have Creative Civilization lead our communications efforts. Their understanding of the transportation needs of our community, coupled with their stewardship of the VIA brand, make Creative Civilization a natural fit to handle VIA’s comprehensive marketing and advertising duties.”

Creative Civilization has previously worked on a variety of initiatives for VIA, ranging from community outreach for VIA’s “SmartWay SA” Long-Range Transportation Plan, educating riders and non-riders about the benefits of Bus Rapid Transit (BRT), and the future of transit for our region through the “Innovation on the Move” marketing campaign.

The agency’s expanded role for VIA includes the development of comprehensive campaigns to grow awareness and usage of public transportation. The agency is currently developing a campaign aimed at building awareness and ridership of new enhanced downtown streetcars and Express bus lines.

“As our community continues to evolve into a leading, progressive, world-class city, VIA’s expanded transportation services and future plans represent one of the keys to our region’s growth.” said Al Aguilar, Chairman and CEO of Creative Civilization. “Our agency is proud and excited to be VIA’s marketing partner.”
